The Tax Department informs that, in accordance with the amending Law of 2023 on Special Contribution for Defense (Law 40(I)/2023), individuals who pay rents are required to pay the withholding tax by June 30 and December 31 of each year, for the first and second half of the year respectively, instead of the previously monthly payment. The same applies to the withholding of GESY contribution on rents of Legal Entities (code 714).
The above payments should be made through the Tax Portal via credit card or internet banking.
